Going to the Wedding Expos

collage pic 8Hello Brides and Grooms,

You have just gotten engaged and all you see are wedding expos every where especially in February when everyone is getting engaged.

Now the expos can be fun or daunting and overwhelming depending on which way you look. Personally I love the smaller expos no more than 60 booths. The vendors can take their time in talking to you and you don’t feel rushed vs the big LA Convention Center where it can be crazy and you have no idea where to look.

I have met some of my favorite clients at these smaller expos. They know what they want in hiring a planner

They have an idea of their wedding date and budget and what they want for their wedding.

Brides I encourage you to talk to your fiancé and discuss budget and date before attending a wedding show. You having some idea of what you want and what you can afford and what you envision for your wedding will make a huge difference. Then when you go to the shows take a friend that you trust, not an entire entourage. You will then be able to relax and visit with each vendor to see if they are a match for you. Spend time with them take a look at their work and see what may be possible.

Planning a wedding takes about 250 hours. Make it fun yet relaxing.

Come visit me at the Engaged show this Sunday at the Taglyan.

Ariella’s Dance Party Bat Mitzvah

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageWhen I met clients at www.maggianos.com last August, her mom told me “I would love you to create a dance party atmosphere in this space. My daughter wants a dance party and I would love it to be here, can you provide a vision for my daughter to see how this can happen”  Well of course. I arrived early and could see what was possible in this 1920’s style room. I know every girl wants to impress and I showed her what we could do. And Ariella was Excited!!! I gave her Mom an few vendor names to contact and she ran with it. She chose designer linens, lighted tables, fun hip furniture and gorgeous daisy arrangements, as well as designing a candy station. I came in at the end to coordinate it all. The vendors and myself took the family’s vision and brought it to life. www.vinispartyrental.com provided draping, fun linens, lights and amazing furniture. We had a photo booth, candy station, chocolate fountain. We also had DJ extraordinaire  Bryan Chesters of LETS PARTY LA and the photo booth  was provided by www.slaterentertainment.com. Bryan had the dance floor filled all the time. www.dylanscandybar.com provided the yummy chocolate fountain. Angira Patel of www.beverlyhillsflowergallery.com provided the beautiful florals.
