Nikki and Juan were married April 11th at the Cathedral of our Lady of the Angels. Their fun art deco reception took place at Cicada. Having lived in downtown Los Angeles for most of their courtship they wanted a wedding that would reflect who they were and their lifestyle, hence the stunning venues they chose for their day.
Nikki wanted simple arrangements for the florals and her uncle flew in from Washington DC to design all the florals for their big day. They were elegant and exactly what she wanted. The table numbers were the names of all the streets in Downtown Los Angeles. The Artist played on a screen during cocktail hour. This was perfect as The Artist was filmed at Cicada. Instead of a cake http://www.joanieandleighs.com provided a cupcake table that was revealed at cake cutting.
The guests feasted on steak and fish while the band YOU WERE GREAT LAST NIGHT played the tunes from the 1940s. Late in the evening Nikki and Juan danced to their hearts’ content with all their friends and family. This was important to them to be able to enjoy the music of the band and we made sure there was plenty of time for dancing.
