The Great Gatsby, the Video

When my clients and I spoke to Cathy Steffan of Parallel Media, We knew she was the one to capture Sam and Ashan’s beautiful wedding. This was their one wedding and they wanted to experience every detail of the day, include the set up, every moment from beginning to end.

We had a production meeting at the Hollywood Roosevelt a month before to go every detail so we left no stone unturned, and every vendor were sure of every single item on the timeline.  We chose to have 3 cameras. One would always remain in the ballroom to capture every moment of the set up from beginning to end. The other 2 cameras would capture Sam and Ashan as they spent hours taking pictures all over the hotel, first by themselves and later with their family. It was a production and it was a beautiful day.

Enjoy their beautiful day!

Thank you Cathy for insuring that Sam and Ashan got experience every moment of their miraculous day.

Same Sex Wedding at The Beverly Wilshire

_MG_5307I met these two wonderful gentleman in March of last year. (Their names and faces I am leaving out for privacy reasons) They wanted to have a wedding close to their home in Beverly Hills. I set to work to find a venue that would speak to them. After about 14 venues as they wanted to keep their options open, we went back to one of our first visits and our first choice. The Beverly Wilshire had everything they wanted, an outside ceremony location overlooking Rodeo Drive and a lovely ballroom for their 1940s wedding reception. My clients are big music lovers and love all the standards like Cole Porter and Girshwin so we had a jazz band and singer to play the standards while people dined on the best of the best and drank fine wines.

The room is very art deco so we chose to have an all red rose reception and it looked stunning. The color was beautiful against the gold tones of the room.

My clients loved the palm trees of Beverly Hills and it became a theme and tied in the décor from the save the dates, invites, menus and the beautiful cake.

The day came and my clients were calm as I had prepared them well for the big day and the fabulous upgrade to a larger suite was icing on the cake. As the day went on and listening to the speeches, I was moved as I came to know what a huge advocate they both are for gay rights in hearing their friends speak so highly of them.

One of my fave teams http://www.peardoncarillophotography.com took all the wonderful photographs of the day.

Butterfly Florals did the all fabulous arrangements.
