When my favorite salon owner of the Doves by DNA came to me saying he wanted to do a styled shoot highlighting Brides of LA and how they want to be expressed, of course I said yes.
I invited Christopher Todd Griffiths to shoot and he brought on Mon Amie Bridal salon to style the brides.
I invited the Beverly Wilshire to be a part of the amazing day. And I was so happy they were a yes!
Danny LeClair of the Doves by DNA took a road trip to Mon Amie with the models and found the most perfect dresses for our Beverly Hills Bride, the Sophisticated Bride, the Old Hollywood Bride, and the Stylish Bride
The day came and the models had a full day of hair and makeup and we went to all the different locations the hotel allowed us to work in. I love the hotel and it was a joy to style this day to show off the elegance of the Beverly Wilshire.

Diana and Ryan were a complete joy to work with. Their parents came to me a month before their wedding knowing they needed a planner and I was familiar with their beautiful Oviatt Venue.
They had a great DJ and photographer and needed guidance in picking out the rest of the vendors. I gave them a few of my favorites and guided them through their last month.
Their extended family were so amazing and I supported them in creating a beautiful day that they will all remember.
I would have to say my favorite moment was when Ryan had the DJ play the song “Diana” Well it was Kool and the Gang’s “Joanna” But All the guests sang Diana.

Demian and Brooke came to me a few weeks before their wedding day in need of a planner. They had most of the vendors but needed someone to manage all the details from that time to wedding day.
It was my intention to give them special white glove VIP service as I knew this couple wanted extra attention to them in these last 2 and half weeks leading up to the wedding.
They are a delightful and fun couple that wanted to share their union with all their friends. The ceremony was officiated by a Rabbi, a minister and a spiritual guide overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Bel Air Bay Club in the Pacific Palisades. They were both committed to their spiritual customs and both their religious customs so their beautiful ceremony reflected who they were and what they were about.
Brooke brought in so many special touches she wanted each her guests to experience. This was a union with so much love and joy and commitment. It was a union that every guest was so delighted to see happen as it was so special and so joyful. Demian and Brooke’s son was baptized during the ceremony and they became a family in front of their friend’s and family members

When I sat down with Ali and Justin last year in preparation to coordinate their wedding, I thought they were one of the most fun delightful couples.
They loved music and they both loved books and chose one of my favorite locations for their wedding. The Redondo Beach Historical Library. They told me this was their first choice and were able to get one of the few dates the Library had on their calendar.
They are such a fun loving couple as you will see from the video and this is one couple that are truly made for each other. It was a huge pleasure to plan their day for such a sweet couple.

Wow, what fabulous memories of this wedding over 8 months ago. I got so much in meeting Neha and Dennis and hearing about the fabulous Indian traditions that they wanted incorporated in their big wedding.
It was 3 days of great events beginning with the Sangheet on the Thursday and then the big ceremony on Friday morning starting with the Baraat Ceremony and ending with a fabulous reception where people danced till late at night no matter late they were up the night before or how early they got up that morning. (It was 5am to get ready and yes they were ready ) People were excited to see Neha and Dennis get married. The following day was a fabulous brunch at the family’s rented ocean view home.
Neha and Dennis came to me from Arizona knowing they would need a planner to plan their large scale wedding for almost 200 people in June. We met on Christmas Eve at a little coffee shop and I gave them a few suggestions of possible venues where they can have a horse on the property. They loved Los Verdes Country Club and hired me.
Since they lived in Arizona, we hired all the vendors remotely and they came out to do a food tasting and visit florists a month before the wedding. It was very easy planning as they trusted me with the vendor recommendations I gave them.
It was such a joyous occasion. I loved all the colors, music and festivities that we incorporated into the day. This was definitely my favorite of last year as the couple were so special. I felt so honored that they hired me a Jewish, English planner to plan their big day.
Thank you to Parallel Media Productions for capturing the day so beautifully.
Jasmine and Bernard came to me after being referred to me by the Roosevelt Hotel. I had done a fabulous Gatsby wedding there and it was featured in their catalogue. Jasmine saw the picture and said that is my wedding style. She called me up and that was it.
Jasmine and Bernie had most of their vendors when they called so they hired me for my six weeks out package and I gave them a couple of vendor recommendations.
They were such a sweet couple and Bernard put so much love into painting table numbers and other signage as Jasmine was so busy with work. He also surprised her with a slideshow that was of her and her dad that played throughout the father daughter dance. They both worked in partnership to make sure they had their dream wedding.
The day came and the large bridal party gathered around the bride and groom. They had all been friends since childhood and they spent time taking plenty of photos around the hotel. Jasmine and Bernie wanted their friends with them as they all took pictures. This was a wedding they were waiting for as Bernie and Jasmine had been together since college and the relationship passed the test of being long distance for many years. They were finally getting married and both families got to celebrate their union by dancing till 2am. This was the party they wanted. It was an honor to be there for them and create their day at a venue where I love working.
When my clients and I spoke to Cathy Steffan of Parallel Media, We knew she was the one to capture Sam and Ashan’s beautiful wedding. This was their one wedding and they wanted to experience every detail of the day, include the set up, every moment from beginning to end.
We had a production meeting at the Hollywood Roosevelt a month before to go every detail so we left no stone unturned, and every vendor were sure of every single item on the timeline. We chose to have 3 cameras. One would always remain in the ballroom to capture every moment of the set up from beginning to end. The other 2 cameras would capture Sam and Ashan as they spent hours taking pictures all over the hotel, first by themselves and later with their family. It was a production and it was a beautiful day.
Enjoy their beautiful day!
Thank you Cathy for insuring that Sam and Ashan got experience every moment of their miraculous day.
Andrea and Sindy came to me last year knowing they would need a month of coordinator for their wedding at the Oviatt. They were delighted to hear that I had already planned a wedding at that location and knew the routine and the people very well.
They were also especially happy to hear that I was an ally for the gay community.
Since they lived in San Diego, we did all our meetings via phone as they hired all their vendors. I did not meet them till the day before but I felt that I knew them very well through all our calls. They put their trust in me and I carried it out.
What was important to them was for their guests to hear their love for each other.
One of my favorite moments was during their Grand Entrance all the guests waved flags saying #lovewins.
This is one of those times when you really get present to the love people have for each other. I am proud to be planning weddings for all couples.

Alex and Marlon came to me in June of last year as they needed a coordinator for their September wedding at their Alma Mata UCLA.
They met in the Public Affairs building while they both attended UCLA so it was fitting they would get married right outside in the beautiful Sculpture Garden, with their reception at Kerckhoff Hall.
Alex was incredibly creative and chose to be one of those DYI brides that amazed me no end. She made all her centerpieces the day before her wedding. And they were beautiful!!
Alex and Marlon put a lot of love in their wedding. A lot of guests from all over the world came to Los Angeles to see the 2 college sweethearts get hitched at the place where they met many years before.

On December 5th, Sam Leslie and Ashan Leslie hosted their 27th Annual Toy Drive. This year it was to benefit the Laurel Foundation. Each guest brought bags of toys to be distributed to the boys and girls of the Laurel Foundation which makes an impact to families affected with HIV Aids.
This was my second year producing this event and we chose to have at an outside venue vs my clients’ home to accommodate more guests that can participate in the gift giving. We chose the City Club for the beautiful city views and sexy city chic ambience.
Once again Joanie and Leigh’s Cakes came on board to co sponsor the event as well as Peardon Carrillo Photography.
Thousands of toys were given out the very next day at the Laurel Foundation Party for the kids as well as lap tops and thousands of dollars was also donated to the foundation.
It was an honor to produce this event.

I met Kristin and Dan at a wedding show last year. I connected with them right away and met for coffee to discuss their wedding plans. Kristin is very pro active and had many details already planned out. I gave her a few wedding referrals and gave her my month of planning package. We checked in periodically along the way, but I knew she had everything under control.
A month before we met to discuss layout and décor and I took over the planning. It was to be a beautiful church wedding at St Brendans followed by dinner, dancing and cigars at Carondelet House in downtown. It was classy, fun and very unique to who they are as a couple.
I was looking forward to this wedding all year as I loved Carondelet and always loved the unique architecture which is perfect for photographs, captured on the day by Brightwood Photography. One of my favorite moments of the day was seeing the joy on Kristin and Dan’s faces as they walked around the venue and seeing their vision come to life.
Greg Balkin of http://www.brightwoodphotography.com took all the beautiful images.
When Darryl wrote me letting me know that he and his partner of 17 years needed a wedding planner, I was over the moon. Number 1 was that I get the privilege of planning yet another same sex wedding and number 2 it was yet another step for same sex marriages around the country – another couple would join the statistics of being allowed to get married in the US. I was delighted to be planning their wedding at Escena Golf Club in Palm Springs
Juan Carlos had dreamt of what he wanted for his wedding. He loved black and white and had been saving the pictures of what the wedding should look like. My Little Flower Shop of Palm Springs got his vision and the room was filled with beautiful sunflowers.
Darryl told me that dancing meant a lot to them so it was important for them to have a great DJ. I suggested Lets Party LA and the y loved Bryan the owner of the company and invited him to be their DJ. I suggested Bryan Hudson Photography and they also loved him. He captured their love.
The big day arrived. Darryl and Juan Carlos woke up at the Hard Rock Hotel to a fabulous breakfast. Bryan Hudson met them for a very fun photo shoot around the hotel. I wanted to keep them and all the guests inside as much as possible due it being 100 degrees.
Their ceremony officiated by their friend Raymond was beautiful, funny and moving and expressed the love each one had for each other. Guests told me they were moved to tears. Darryl and Juan Carlos made their grand entrance to HAPPY and hugged and greeted each of their guests. Each guest were so happy to be part of a marriage so beautiful.
