This is one of my favorite weddings to date as I had a ball through planning the wedding with Meg and Michaels delightful parents who hired me to take away the stress of planning from their daughter who already had a high powered job at a top agency.
Right away, we all connected on so many levels. Number one being Jewish allowed me to understand everything that went into the planning. I was also moved by everything Meg’s parents wanted to incorporate into the day for their only child. We brought most of the vendors and left the most important item which was picking the band to Meg and Michael. Meg and Michael wanted something fun and unique for their wedding which was to have a 90s cover band. At my first meeting with them, I showed them a picture of one of my favorite bands, The Replicas and they loved it. This was the one and they immediately went to work on creating an all 90s song list for the evening. For the ceremony music, my couple fell in love with pianist Antonio from the Peninsula so we hired him and rented a white baby grand.
For everything else, we had a vision of what Meg and Michael wanted and brought on the vendors that would be a perfect match. I wanted to make it as simple and easy and fun for all and for my couples parents who were planning it with me from Arizona. I chose the very best to take care of my couple. Butterfly Florals, The Butter End Cakes, The Doves by DNA for Hair and Make Up were some of the fabulous vendors. The main thing was to have it be easy and stress free.
Of course all the staff at the Beverly Wilshire treated my lovely couple and their parents as if they were their only wedding. It was nothing short of a 5 star experience for everyone. Each moment of the day was special as so much thought, love and care went into every detail.

I just love planning an Indian Wedding as the music energy and passion from the families are expressed in color music and food.
Swapna and Andrew’s wedding had all of these elements from when the guests were greeted for a pre ceremony cocktail hour to the fabulous energy of the Baraat Ceremony where the guests kept on dancing to the beat of the drums. It was so powerful. The guests could not get enough of the music and it went on for 20 minutes. My beautiful bride was waiting to go down the aisle and heard the beat of the drum and smiled as the guests welcomed her groom and his family into hers.
The ceremony was beautiful. Andrew’s uncle married them. Then the reception began complete with a henna station, photobooth and dancing.
Chris Schmitt of Www.chrisschmittphotography.com captured the day beautifully. Inna Savluk of Butterfly Florals created beautiful arrangements of pinks and marigolds and together we designed a beautiful event complete with linens from Luxe Linen. DJ Kamal kept the guests on the toes from the Baraat to the last dance. Joanie and Leigh made the delicious cake.
It was such a pleasure to coordinate and plan Stephanie and Chris’s wedding at Greystone last May. It was truly a fairytale wedding as you can see from the video. They are a darling couple and it was a joy to work with them.
It was class from start to finish from Elegant Music playing for the guests as they walked into the ceremony, to the ever classy Mary Jean Valente from Ceremony of the Heart officiating the ceremony, to the overflowing champagne when they walked into cocktail hour, to the amazing dinner catered by Silver Service Events, to the fantastic Motown era after dinner.
This wedding was one of my favorites of last year.
Thank you Anchor Pictures for the beautiful video.
Joel Danto of Danto Photography captured the day.
Working with Jess and Andy was an absolute joy. They contacted me as I had done many weddings at the Redondo Beach Historical Library and wanted someone who knew the space.
Jess and I worked to create a beautiful old library setting. Her mom collected beautiful silver antique teapots and trays from antique marts all around the country. Each one had a special meaning. They became the centerpieces along with old books Jess had collected. The reception was romantic and beautiful.
Jess and Andy declared their vows in front of their 160 plus guests at St Cross Church in Hermosa Beach and then danced the night away at the library. I loved every minute of planning this gorgeous couple’s wedding. It was about giving them everything they wanted even when we were threatened with rain, a guest knocking into the cake, they still had the day of their dreams. It was about being with each other.

When my favorite salon owner of the Doves by DNA came to me saying he wanted to do a styled shoot highlighting Brides of LA and how they want to be expressed, of course I said yes.
I invited Christopher Todd Griffiths to shoot and he brought on Mon Amie Bridal salon to style the brides.
I invited the Beverly Wilshire to be a part of the amazing day. And I was so happy they were a yes!
Danny LeClair of the Doves by DNA took a road trip to Mon Amie with the models and found the most perfect dresses for our Beverly Hills Bride, the Sophisticated Bride, the Old Hollywood Bride, and the Stylish Bride
The day came and the models had a full day of hair and makeup and we went to all the different locations the hotel allowed us to work in. I love the hotel and it was a joy to style this day to show off the elegance of the Beverly Wilshire.

Diana and Ryan were a complete joy to work with. Their parents came to me a month before their wedding knowing they needed a planner and I was familiar with their beautiful Oviatt Venue.
They had a great DJ and photographer and needed guidance in picking out the rest of the vendors. I gave them a few of my favorites and guided them through their last month.
Their extended family were so amazing and I supported them in creating a beautiful day that they will all remember.
I would have to say my favorite moment was when Ryan had the DJ play the song “Diana” Well it was Kool and the Gang’s “Joanna” But All the guests sang Diana.

Demian and Brooke came to me a few weeks before their wedding day in need of a planner. They had most of the vendors but needed someone to manage all the details from that time to wedding day.
It was my intention to give them special white glove VIP service as I knew this couple wanted extra attention to them in these last 2 and half weeks leading up to the wedding.
They are a delightful and fun couple that wanted to share their union with all their friends. The ceremony was officiated by a Rabbi, a minister and a spiritual guide overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Bel Air Bay Club in the Pacific Palisades. They were both committed to their spiritual customs and both their religious customs so their beautiful ceremony reflected who they were and what they were about.
Brooke brought in so many special touches she wanted each her guests to experience. This was a union with so much love and joy and commitment. It was a union that every guest was so delighted to see happen as it was so special and so joyful. Demian and Brooke’s son was baptized during the ceremony and they became a family in front of their friend’s and family members

When I sat down with Ali and Justin last year in preparation to coordinate their wedding, I thought they were one of the most fun delightful couples.
They loved music and they both loved books and chose one of my favorite locations for their wedding. The Redondo Beach Historical Library. They told me this was their first choice and were able to get one of the few dates the Library had on their calendar.
They are such a fun loving couple as you will see from the video and this is one couple that are truly made for each other. It was a huge pleasure to plan their day for such a sweet couple.

Wow, what fabulous memories of this wedding over 8 months ago. I got so much in meeting Neha and Dennis and hearing about the fabulous Indian traditions that they wanted incorporated in their big wedding.
It was 3 days of great events beginning with the Sangheet on the Thursday and then the big ceremony on Friday morning starting with the Baraat Ceremony and ending with a fabulous reception where people danced till late at night no matter late they were up the night before or how early they got up that morning. (It was 5am to get ready and yes they were ready ) People were excited to see Neha and Dennis get married. The following day was a fabulous brunch at the family’s rented ocean view home.
Neha and Dennis came to me from Arizona knowing they would need a planner to plan their large scale wedding for almost 200 people in June. We met on Christmas Eve at a little coffee shop and I gave them a few suggestions of possible venues where they can have a horse on the property. They loved Los Verdes Country Club and hired me.
Since they lived in Arizona, we hired all the vendors remotely and they came out to do a food tasting and visit florists a month before the wedding. It was very easy planning as they trusted me with the vendor recommendations I gave them.
It was such a joyous occasion. I loved all the colors, music and festivities that we incorporated into the day. This was definitely my favorite of last year as the couple were so special. I felt so honored that they hired me a Jewish, English planner to plan their big day.
Thank you to Parallel Media Productions for capturing the day so beautifully.
Jasmine and Bernard came to me after being referred to me by the Roosevelt Hotel. I had done a fabulous Gatsby wedding there and it was featured in their catalogue. Jasmine saw the picture and said that is my wedding style. She called me up and that was it.
Jasmine and Bernie had most of their vendors when they called so they hired me for my six weeks out package and I gave them a couple of vendor recommendations.
They were such a sweet couple and Bernard put so much love into painting table numbers and other signage as Jasmine was so busy with work. He also surprised her with a slideshow that was of her and her dad that played throughout the father daughter dance. They both worked in partnership to make sure they had their dream wedding.
The day came and the large bridal party gathered around the bride and groom. They had all been friends since childhood and they spent time taking plenty of photos around the hotel. Jasmine and Bernie wanted their friends with them as they all took pictures. This was a wedding they were waiting for as Bernie and Jasmine had been together since college and the relationship passed the test of being long distance for many years. They were finally getting married and both families got to celebrate their union by dancing till 2am. This was the party they wanted. It was an honor to be there for them and create their day at a venue where I love working.
When my clients and I spoke to Cathy Steffan of Parallel Media, We knew she was the one to capture Sam and Ashan’s beautiful wedding. This was their one wedding and they wanted to experience every detail of the day, include the set up, every moment from beginning to end.
We had a production meeting at the Hollywood Roosevelt a month before to go every detail so we left no stone unturned, and every vendor were sure of every single item on the timeline. We chose to have 3 cameras. One would always remain in the ballroom to capture every moment of the set up from beginning to end. The other 2 cameras would capture Sam and Ashan as they spent hours taking pictures all over the hotel, first by themselves and later with their family. It was a production and it was a beautiful day.
Enjoy their beautiful day!
Thank you Cathy for insuring that Sam and Ashan got experience every moment of their miraculous day.
Andrea and Sindy came to me last year knowing they would need a month of coordinator for their wedding at the Oviatt. They were delighted to hear that I had already planned a wedding at that location and knew the routine and the people very well.
They were also especially happy to hear that I was an ally for the gay community.
Since they lived in San Diego, we did all our meetings via phone as they hired all their vendors. I did not meet them till the day before but I felt that I knew them very well through all our calls. They put their trust in me and I carried it out.
What was important to them was for their guests to hear their love for each other.
One of my favorite moments was during their Grand Entrance all the guests waved flags saying #lovewins.
This is one of those times when you really get present to the love people have for each other. I am proud to be planning weddings for all couples.
